Handles dispute resolution cases for more than 20 years. She has extensive experience and is recognized by specialized rankings as a leader in the areas of mediation and arbitration.
Daniela is a CIArb fellow (Chartered Institute of Arbitrators) and holds a master’s degree and a PhD in civil procedure law from the University of Sao Paulo (USP). She is also a Professor at the São Paulo Law School of Fundação Getulio Vargas, teaching in the Graduate and Undergraduate Programs.
She was previously a visiting scholar at Yale University and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and has authored books on Mediation and the Courts in Brazil and the USA, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Civil Procedure, Repeated Litigation in Brazil, among other numerous articles on mediation, arbitration, and ADR.
Daniela Monteiro Gabbay

Daniela Monteiro Gabbay has handled litigation in Arbitral Tribunals and Courts for over 20 years. Before founding Daniela Gabbay Resolução de Conflitos, she worked in well-known Law Firms in São Paulo and Belém-Pará, in the litigation, mediation, and arbitration practice. Daniela represented clients in domestic and international arbitration handled in English and Portuguese under different arbitration rules. She also has experience in mediation and dispute system design fields, combining a practical approach with academic scholarship.
Daniela is a CIArb fellow (Chartered Institute of Arbitrators) and holds a master’s degree and a PhD in civil procedure law from the University of Sao Paulo (USP). She is also a Professor of Mediation, Arbitration, and Civil Procedure at the São Paulo Law School of Fundação Getulio Vargas, teaching in the Graduate and Undergraduate Programs, and was previously a visiting scholar at Yale University and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
Daniela has authored books on Mediation and the Courts in Brazil and the USA, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Civil Procedure, Repeated Litigation in Brazil, among other numerous articles on mediation, arbitration, and ADR. She has coordinated considerable empirical research on such fields, some of them delivered to the Ministry of Justice and to the Brazilian National Council of Justice. She is regularly invited to deliver lectures and speeches on mediation and arbitration in national and international meetings.
She integrates the list of Mediators and Arbitrators of several Arbitration and Mediation Institutions in Brazil, and has been appointed to serve as a Mediator and Arbitrator in ad hoc and institutional mediation proceedings on corporate disputes.
Daniela is an Advisory Counselor of the Câmara Especial de Resolução de Conflitos em Reestruturação de Empresas (CamCMR) and the coordinator of the Arbitration Center in Escola Superior da Advocacia (ESA), OAB-SP.
Recognized in Leaders League for working in Arbitration and Litigation (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021), she is also recognized as a Global Leader and National Leader in Mediation (2020, 2021, 2022), and Future Leader in Arbitration in the Who’s Who Legal (2021, 2022, 2023). In the Leaders League’s ranking she has been recognized on the list of the best Brazilian mediators for several consecutive years (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022).

She holds a Master’s degree in Business Law from the Getulio Vargas Foundation in São Paulo – FGV Direito SP, with a scholarship from the Research Support Foundation of the State of São Paulo (FAPESP). She holds a degree in Law at FGV Direito SP, with specialization in Arbitration at FGV Law. She also took a specialization course in Strategic Planning for Law Firms at FGVLaw.
She is a researcher at the Center for Studies in Financial and Capital Markets at FGV Direito SP and is a organizer of the Corporate Law Study Group at FGV Direito SP. She is a member of the Young Arbitrators Committee and Mediation Committee of the Brazilian Center for Mediation and Arbitration (CBMA), of the New Generation (CAM-CCBC), of INOVARB (AMCHAM) and of InfraWomen Brazil.

Ana Paula Ribeiro Nani handles in the area of dispute resolution.

She holds a Master’s degree in Business Law from the Getulio Vargas Foundation in São Paulo – FGV Direito SP, with a scholarship from the Research Support Foundation of the State of São Paulo (FAPESP). She holds a degree in Law at FGV Direito SP, with specialization in Arbitration at FGV Law.

She was awarded a scientific initiation scholarship from the Brazilian Association of Law and Economics (ABDE). She represented FGV-SP in the 1st Brazilian Civil Procedure Competition. Ana Paula participated in university extension groups focused on the study of civil procedural law, mediation, negotiation, and arbitration at Getulio Vargas Foundation in São Paulo. She was a teaching assistant (TA) at FGV Direito SP in the subjects of Civil Procedural Law, Law and Development, State and Democracy, Economic Law, Mediation and Arbitration, Law and Economics, Behavioral Economics, and Capital Markets. In addition, Ana Paula took a specialization course in Strategic Planning for Law Firms at FGV Law.

She is a member of the Young Arbitration Committee and Mediation Committee of the Brazilian Center for Mediation and Arbitration (CBMA) and is linked to the New Generation (CAM-CCBC), INOVARB (AMCHAM) and InfraWomen Brazil.
Ana Paula is currently a researcher at the Center for Studies in Financial and Capital Markets at FGV Direito SP, coordinated by professors Ary Oswaldo Mattos Filho and Viviane Muller Prado. She is also the organizer of the Corporate Law Study Group at FGV Direito-SP.
